Mgazine Advert Analysis
This is a magazine advert analysis that I did for Marina and the Diamonds' album 'The Family Jewels'
Our Own Digipak Analysis
Here is the finished version of our digipak! On the top left hand corner is the back of our digipack which includes the artist's name, the track list, production company logo, barcode and copyright information. This allows our audience to see who made the album which might further promote it, it also allows them to see what is included in the album. On the back also used a bold, black font to that they would stand out. Next to it is the side of the digipak with the album title, artist name and production logos, so that the digipak is still identifiable from the side. On the top right hand corner is the front of our digipak which includes the picture of our artist, their name and the title of the album. For the artists name and album title we have used a cursive font to highlight the artists femininity. Furthermore, the colourful rainbow image or our artist may suggest the music on the album is bright and uplifting and from the indie-pop genre. On the bottom left hand corner is the inside of the digipak with the CD; The CD had an image taken from our music video in black and white but darker than the background, it also has our artist name and album title. The monochrome filter looks very professional and is reminiscent of our music video.Lastly, on the bottom right, is the inside artwork of the digipak of our artist sitting on the bench in out music video. This is very bright and colourful, indicating that the genre of music on this album could be pop/ indie-pop. This is also reminiscent of our music video.

Evaluation Tasks
These are the questions that we have to answer for our evaluation, now that our music videos are finished.
1.In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms of real media products?
2. How effective is this combination of your main product and ancillary tasks?
3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?
4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Media Showcase
Today was out media showcase, where we were able to show our friends and families out completed media productions. Both the AS film opening's were shown and out A2 music videos. Before we showed them our videos we spoke about what has inspired us and our genre, giving a little bit of context to our media products to the audience.
I believed that the showcase was a huge success and we personally got to see how our audience received our music video through their reactions. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to interview out audience and gain more feedback on our production. We asked questions such as "What did you understand from the narrative of the music video?", "What was the most memorable shot?" and so on. It was very interesting to see how the audience interpreted the out product and most of the messages we tried to convey, seemed to make itself known to the audience.

Digipak
Our digipak is almost complete! The last this we have to do is insert an image from our music video. Below is the template of out digipak that we decided on as a group. However we are still decided whether to leave the CD blank or have an image on it so that when you lift the CD out of the digipak, the image can still be seen underneath.
Above is the back of our digipak that contains the track list and the credentials. We used our school logo and my groups initials logos for the "producers".
For our insert shot, we have decided that we are going to take a still from one of the scenes from the music video. I believe that it will be the image of our artist sitting on the bench alone and looking into the camera in black and white, as it seems to be a motif shot that occurs throughout out music video and represents one of the issues we were trying to explore.

Draft 1 feedback
Now we have finished the first draft of our music video, I showed it to my parents, friends and sister to see what they thought of our music video so far. Here are some of the things they said...
"It is very good but it would look better if the editing was more fast paced"
"I like the narrative and that you are talking about issues that a lot of teenager are dealing with but some of the lip-sync is a little out."
"It would be better if it was a little choppier."
"I relate like the shots where the camera is moving around Nicole, i think it looks really cool."

Our first draft
This is the first draft of our music video. We have completely finished filming and edited most of the music video, However, there is still room for improvement such as making it more choppy and to the beat of the song.

K.Will 'Please Dont'
This is a kpop music video that features a very strong narrative. It has no performance aspect. However this music video challenges conventions by going against stereotypes and presents ideas that are not as widely accepted in Korea as it is the west.

Hillifields
Today we woke up at the crack of dawn (around 8:00 am) to do some more filming at Hillifields. However, it was freezing cold and the whole place had a layer of thick frost. Due to this reason we thought it would be too risky to film (especially since we are all recovering from colds) and the weather condition were not right, not fitting in with our video.

BTS: editing our digipack
These are photos of our group editing our digipack. We wanted a colourful cover as it would be really eyes catching so we went on ipiccy.com. In the image below you can see me putting the rainbow filter on the back of our cover as well. On the front cover, we also used an eye-bright tool to bring our the colour of Nicole's eyes, and a wrinkle-remover tool to improve the quality of the image.
we used photoshop to add the song track titles, the artists name, album name and credits. Below are the front and back of the digipack.
